*Sheng Keyi has had to withdraw from this year’s festival due to circumstances beyond her control.

Four literary figures will gather to discuss what writers should do to reach out to the world. On stage will be John Freeman, the former editor of the literary magazine Granta and current editor of contemporary literature magazine Freeman’s. He will be joined by the writer Fuminori Nakamura, who has contributed greatly to the noir fiction genre, receiving the David L. Goodis Award for Noir Fiction, and writer Keiichiro Hirano, whose work Kuhaku wo Mitashinasai will be released in French translation this year.
